I am a self-taught artist who paints mainly in acrylics, and occasionally in oils. From my home studio, I produce paintings that express in vivid color,the way I would like to see the world. Although I have been drawing and sketching from an early age, I pursued decorative arts more as a less expensive way to maximize my own decor. From plant pots and garden gnomes to murals, faux finishes and tole painting on my walls and ceramic dragons in dazzling metallics. I feel I have inherited my talent from my mother and my great-uncle Adolphus Burton, an artist and college art professor in British Columbia.

I have had a successful solo exhibition in a local coffee house/art gallery and my paintings have been available for sale through a local framing studio gallery. I am also a member of The Prairie Art Gallery, The Terrace Art Gallery, plus WetCanvas and other online sites for artists which contribute to my continuing education and growth as an artist.
